
Realignment in college sports is in full swing but not everyone agrees with it.
Notre Dame athletic director Jack Swarbrick falls in that category as he thinks it’s a “complete disaster.”
“Everybody in the industry has to take responsibility here, I’m not excluding myself from that. I think the decision-making lost its way in terms of the focus of the student-athlete & what’s primarily best for them,” Swarbrick said.
Swarbrick also confirmed that the ACC is still considering adding Stanford and California since the Pac-12 is about to be gone.

While Swarbrick isn’t alone in this opinion, it’s probably not going to matter much in the long run since more schools will continue to change conferences.
Heck, we just saw it happen a couple of weeks ago when Oregon and Washington announced plans to leave for the Big Ten.
Notre Dame won’t have to worry about that at least in football since it’s an independent. It plays schools from different conferences but doesn’t belong to a specific conference.
