For years, Fox Sports radio host Doug Gottlieb has received criticism for a costly mistake he made back in college. On Wednesday, he found a way to put a hilarious spin on that unfortunate situation.
Gottlieb left Notre Dame after an incident in which he stole a classmate’s credit card and used it for multiple purchases. It was a really crazy story that ended with him transferring to Golden West College.
Even though Gottlieb’s past has haunted him from time to time, it appears he’s finally ready to move on from that chapter of his life.
Earlier today, Mike Golic posted a video on Twitter promoting the official Notre Dame credit card that’ll give 1% unlimited cash back on all purchases.
To the surprise of many Notre Dame fans, Gottlieb actually responded to Golic’s tweet. He replied “Can’t believe no one asked me.”

Gottlieb’s followers applauded him for poking fun at his own misfortune.
“That’s the way to lean into it,” Adam Gold of The Adam Gold Show said. “Bravo.”
“This is a good tweet,” ESPN’s Chris Fallica replied.
Usually, Gottlieb receives a lot of backlash from his fans on Twitter. That won’t be the case this Wednesday, as some fans are saying he had the “tweet of the day.”
