Saturday night’s walk-off win over Notre Dame was about as exciting as it gets for college football fans and Ohio State quarterback Kyle McCord is still feeling the effects of it.
Speaking to the media Wednesday, McCord called the victory “surreal” and he was just as nervous watching the TV broadcast back despite knowing the outcome.
It was surreal. I went back and watched the TV copy of the game and I’m sitting there watching that last drive and my heart’s pounding like I don’t know what’s about to happen. But man, that’s about as tough of a win as you can get and I’m just proud that we were able to pull it out and I’m excited to keep building off of it.
Kyle McCord said waking up on Sunday, what had transpired the night before still felt “surreal.”

McCord finished 21-of-37 for 240 yards in hostile territory in the gut-it-out win.
The Buckeyes were able to cap off a 15-play, 65-yard drive with a touchdown run courtesy of Chip Trayanum; allowing them to leave South Bend 4-0.
Ohio State is currently ranked No. 4 in the nation, climbing up two spots from their previous position in the AP Poll.
