It’s no surprise Notre Dame Football fans say ticket prices are too high

Probably because they are

One of the crazier things to think about as I sit here just a month away from turning 47 years young is how Notre Dame ticket prices have skyrocketed over the years. During my senior year of high school in 1995, you could purchase a ticket for the Irish vs the Washington Huskies for $32 at face value — and that’s for any seat in the house. Today, Notre Dame football tickets fall under a tier system with the cheapest tickets running about $80, which is about 17% higher than the inflation rate since 1995.

We didn’t need to take a survey to know that most Notre Dame fans believed the prices to be too steep — but we did one anyways. 84% of Irish fans polled said the tickets were too high for football games (maybe next time we’ll discuss the basketball tickets).

One of the big problems with overpriced tickets is that everything else surrounding a sporting event is fairly overpriced too — including food and drink.

And yet… we splurge all day long to fill our bellies. Some of that money is spent inside the stadium during the game at the concession stand.

The menu and selection at the concession stand isn’t always the greatest, but when surveyed about an item fans would like to have, one delicious selection won a majority vote over several others. Congratulations to ITALIAN BEEF for being such a boss.
