Notre Dame beat USC handily in college football last weekend and two members of the Detroit Lions apparently had a bet going on the outcome.
During his media session on Thursday, Lions wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown – a USC alum – showed up dressed as the Notre Dame leprechaun. He revealed that he had a wager going with teammate and Notre Dame alum Julian Okawara.
St. Brown wasn’t exactly enjoying himself while wearing the garments. Between the material of the costume and having to wear the outfit of USC’s rivals, he wasn’t having a good time.
“This material is trash. Everything about this is trash,” he said.

The Fighting Irish limited USC’s all-world quarterback Caleb Williams under 200 passing yards and forced three interceptions in a 48-20 blowout. Their own offense may not have looked like the 2019 LSU Tigers, but they took advantage of every opportunity the defense gave them.
Amon-Ra St. Brown was a part of two USC losses to Notre Dame during his three years in college.
This one must sting worse than either of those though.
