Bless yourself with these images today.
Happy Friday everyone! I have access to thousands and thousands of Notre Dame Fighting Irish photos, and will never use a small fraction of those on this site. The thing is though — I want to, and I’m going to give it a solid shot as a way to bless the beginning of the weekend throughout the season.
The Purdue Boilermakers are back in town for the first time since 2012, and it’s lkate in the day — SO LFG!
LOVE THEE
Yes this post is technically about Purdue this week, and this image is from the famous 1966 game — famous for Terry Hanratty lighting it up with Jim Seymour. But… it’s also just a gorgeous shot that everyone should see.

WIN
Brian Kelly’s first ever game as the head coach of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish was a 23-12 win over the Purdue Boilermakers. Funny how Saturday’s game against Purdue, after all these years, could be the win that ties him with Knute Rockne as the all-time wins leader at Notre Dame.

BLANK SPACE
We might as well stay with that 2010 game just to post this fantastic shot of Taylor Swift covered head to toe in Irish gear.

BIG 10 STARS
No… Vince Vaughn is not at a Notre Dame vs Purdue game in this picture — it’s against the Michigan State Spartans. However, I did briefly meet Vaughn at the 2012 game against Purdue. So… there ya go.

BACKUP THE WIN
In 2000, Drew Brees came to town and lost to Notre Dame backup quarterback Gary Godsey (who was also a tight end). Here’s the Wikipedia entry: “Nick Setta’s field goal as time ran out lifted the Fighting Irish to a come-from-behind victory. Fighting Irish quarterback Gary Godsey, making his first start in place of the injured Arnaz Battle, outdueled Drew Brees.”
