Notre Dame quarterback Sam Hartman showed off a new look this Wednesday that has the college football world buzzing.
The official X account for Notre Dame shared a video of Hartman at practice with a mustache. His well-groomed beard is no longer a thing.
Immediately after this video surfaced on social media, people started referring to Hartman as Uncle Rico from “Napoleon Dynamite.”

Honestly, it’s a pretty accurate comparison.
Hartman has been very efficient for the Fighting Irish this season, completing 64.5 percent of his passes for 1,838 yards with 18 touchdowns and three interceptions. It’s pretty evident he’s not fazed by playing in a new system.
Notre Dame will be back in action on Oct. 28 against Pitt. We’ll see if Hartman – with his mustache- delivers another flawless performance.
