We’re still over two months out from Ohio State and Notre Dame’s Week 4 showdown in South Bend, but ESPN Analytics already has its eyes on a winner.
According to the computer’s matchup predictor, the Buckeyes hold a 79.3% chance of walking out of Notre Dame Stadium with a W, compared to just a 20.7% chance of the Irish pulling off the upset in their house.
The early moneyline has Ohio State as 9-point favorites going into the matchup, which will be broadcast in primetime on NBC.

You can expect all 80,000+ seats to be filled for this one when things kickoff between the two college football powers.
The Buckeyes are widely-regarded as one of the top teams in the nation, even with the question mark at quarterback. While Marcus Freeman’s Notre Dame squad is hovering around the teens in most preseason polls.
The Fighting Irish went 9-4 in Freeman’s first season as the head man on the sideline, losing Ohio State 21-10 in Week 1.
They’ll look to correct that come Sept. 23.
