A Duke fan may have created the best sign we’ve seen on “College GameDay” this season.
During this Saturday morning’s show, ESPN’s cameras panned over to a sign that said “Sam Hartman makes more from social security than NIL.”
Obviously, this is a jab at Hartman’s age. The 24-year-old quarterback has been playing college football since 2018.

Hartman played at Wake Forest through the 2022 season. After throwing for 12,967 yards and 110 touchdowns, he decided to transfer to Notre Dame.
If No. 17 Duke wants to defeat No. 11 Notre Dame this weekend, it’ll need to slow down Hartman. He already has 1,236 passing yards with 14 touchdowns this season.
ESPN’s Football Power Index gives Notre Dame a 69.4 percent chance of winning. Oddsmakers are also riding with the Fighting Irish, but they’re only a one-possession favorite.
Kickoff for the Duke-Notre Dame game is at 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
