ESPN’s Dick Vitale has been in South Bend this week to enjoy some Notre Dame sports. He’ll be there for today’s big Notre Dame-USC game and is very confident that the Fighting Irish get the job done.
Taking to X this morning, Dickie V picked Notre Dame to beat the highly-touted Trojans. He said that the Fighting Irish will “play with passion and pride” and get the victory.
“Rainy day in South Bend – @NDFootball hosts @uscfb – my gut says Irish play with PASSION & PRIDE & edge USC 37-34! Let’s Go Irish ! Going to Mass on campus at 4 & than Development Tailgate prior to kickoff,” Vitale wrote.
Notre Dame are narrow favorites in today’s game and as Dickie V mentioned, rain and inclement weather could play a factor in how it plays out.

Notre Dame boasts a balanced offense and a top tier defense that’s giving up less than 16 points per game.
USC’s offense is a high-octane passing attack averaging a nation-best 51.8 points per game. But their defense is highly suspect, ranking 81st in the nation.
That may be why Notre Dame is the favorite in the game despite being nowhere close to as prolific on offense as USC is.
Do you think Dickie V got the final score prediction right?
