Curt Cignetti can’t keep Notre Dame’s name out of his mouth

Big Ten coaches are just shining right now

We are creeping into the “really quiet” part of the Notre Dame football offseason, but that doesn’t mean it’s dead. Things are happening all around us. Here’s a triple-option to catch up a bit.

CIGNETTI MIGHT BE AN IDIOT

A post shared by Adam Breneman (@adambreneman)

Curt Cignetti couldn’t shut the hell up last year as he led the Indiana Hoosiers to a playoff berth, and a blowout loss in South Bend by Notre Dame. Ciggy was more than confident leading into that game — he was a cocky punk that tried to play the role of bully until he was reminded of his dweebdom.

Now, this dweeb is doing something we have come to expect from Pat Narduzzi, and trying to call foul on Notre Dame because he (and his program) just can’t keep up.

Yes… Notre Dame pays players. No… it’s no where near that $40 million mark that he’s talking about. Yes… he’s a whiny baby.

CHEATERS CHEAT

Breaking: Michigan coach Sherrone Moore is expected to be suspended for two games for the upcoming 2025 season as part of self-imposed sanctions by the university in regards to the Connor Stalions advanced scouting scandal, industry sources tell @DanWetzel and @PeteThamel.… pic.twitter.com/U8Xd0LYRp7

Do I even need to comment here? The Michigan Wolverines self impose a suspension for Sherrone Moore — but in games 3 and 4. Break out the cousin Eddy “you serious Clark?” gif and chug some egg nog. It’s about the most Michigan thing they can do… but wait there’s more.

Michigan president Santa Ono is leaving Ann Arbor for Gainesville and the Flordia Gators.

Michigan’s president Santa Ono, who is under contract through 2032 and just received a 33% raise, is leaving the school for a far less prestigious university.

Now why is that?

I don’t care about any other reason for this move (and there is a handful of legit reasons), it just stinks of cowardice (which matches their pants).

TOP 25 OPINIONS

On the latest E5 Podcast, we talked about the top 25 Andy Staples put out with the Irisdh at #2.

The latest top 25 exercise comes from Joel Klatt… and he probably just got done dropping acid, so it is what it is.

ON THE MOVE (AGAIN)

Former Notre Dame WR Tobias Merriweather is ready to move on from the Cal Bears, and will transfer to play for the Utah Utes.

Cal transfer WR Tobias Merriweather has signed with Utah, ESPN has learned.

BONUS PITCH… WHAT SHE SAY?

A public meeting of Olivia Miles and Hannah Hidalgo unfolded during a WNBA game inside Purcell Pavilion. What the hell are they talking about? No matter how you spin it — this ain’t pleasant.
