College Football's Week 2 AP Poll Top 25 Released Tuesday

After an incredible first weekend of college football that had some surprises, upsets and Heisman-worthy moments spread over , the new Associated Press top 25 poll is out.

The top two remained unchanged as Georgia and Michigan won their season openers against UT-Martin and East Carolina with relative ease. But things immediately got a little chaotic underneath them.

Ohio State fell from No. 3 to No. 5 after a rather listless performance against Big Ten minnow Indiana. Moving ahead of them were Alabama and Florida State respectively.

The big drops came from LSU and Clemson, who were both trounced over the last two days. LSU lost nine spots and is now at No. 14 while Clemson fell a full 16 spots and just managed to avoid falling off entirely while being placed at No. 25.

Here are the current top 25 teams, via APNews.com:

  1. Georgia
  2. Michigan
  3. Alabama
  4. FSU
  5. Ohio State
  6. USC
  7. Penn State
  8. Washington
  9. Tennessee
  10. Notre Dame
  11. Texas
  12. Utah
  13. Oregon
  14. LSU
  15. Kansas State
  16. Oregon State
  17. North Carolina
  18. Oklahoma
  19. Wisconsin
  20. Ole Miss
  21. Duke
  22. Colorado
  23. Texas A&M
  24. Tulane
  25. Clemson

Dropping off of the list entirely were TCU and Iowa.

TCU were No. 17 to start the season but were stunned by Colorado (newly-minted as No. 22 this week). Iowa, meanwhile, won their season opener in convincing fashion, but were dropped to make room for the Buffaloes and the Duke Blue Devils.

What changes would you make to the ranking?
