College Football Fans Ripping Notre Dame For 'Soft' 2024 Schedule

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish are hoping to improve on last year’s 10-3 record and fans are making it clear that they have no excuses whatsoever not to.

Yesterday, PFF shared Notre Dame’s schedule for the 2024 season. It features eight games against Power Five teams, two service academies, NIU and Miami (OH).

But outside of a season-ending road game against USC, there really isn’t anyone on the schedule that Notre Dame should feel threatened by – not if they’re as good as they want us to believe they are.

As a result, fans have taken to social media to rip the Fighting Irish for putting together a “soft” schedule and warning them that they had better win nearly all of their games next season.

“If they don’t actually go undefeated against this schedule it’s a problem,” one user wrote.

“I don’t want to hear one ND talk about a soft schedule,” wrote another.

“My 2024 summer wedding szn schedule is tougher than this,” a third user joked.

“10-2 at worst .. charmin soft,” a fourth declared.

Obviously we don’t know what the teams are really going to be like until they take to the field. For all we know, two or three of the teams on Notre Dame’s schedule are gearing up for a big season that’ll surprise everyone.

But if that’s not the case and Notre Dame winds up losing to a team that finishes in area of nine wins or less, there might be a ton of pressure on head coach Marcus Freeman.

It’s something to keep an eye on next season.
