Kennedy Urlacher, the son of Chicago Bears legend Brian Urlacher, will be playing his college football in the Midwest.
Not just anywhere in the Midwest either. Urlacher, a three-star safety from Chandler (Ariz.), is taking his talents to Notre Dame.
The 6-foot, 190-pound prospect announced his commitment on Monday night.

The younger Urlacher chose the Fighting Irish over offers from Miami, Penn State, TCU, Kansas State, Illinois and others. He recently visited Notre Dame, which likely clinched things for the Fighting Irish.
Urlacher is the 57th-rated safety and No. 607 recruit nationally in the class of 2024. He is now the 13th commitment for Notre Dame in the 2024 cycle; the current Irish haul also features nine four-stars and one five-star prospect and is ranked top five nationally.
Urlacher’s famous dad was a first-round pick of the Bears in 2000 and spent his entire career with the team, retiring after the 2012 season.
Brian won NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2005, made eight Pro Bowls and earned four first-team All-Pro selections during his NFL tenure.
