Are we ready to start fighting about Notre Dame’s starting QB?

Like — really start heating things up

All of a sudden it’s June and we are less than three months away from the season opener for Notre Dame football, when they travel to Coral Gables to take on the Miami Hurricanes. We have some thoughts and some news, so let’s pull out the triple option.

MINCHEY VS CARR

I genuinely despise quarterback competitions, but it’s a reality we have to deal with every few years. For the Irish this year, they already have gone from three to two — and it feels like a summer debate is on the horizon. According to Jordan Sigler with ChiCity Sports, Marcus Freeman is droping Freudian slips (of sorts) — and he thinks it signals for Kenny Minchey to win out over CJ Carr. Early poll —what do you think?

WHAT THO THE ODDS

DraftKings has some early lines out for some of Notre Dame’s biggest games this season:

at Miami -2.5
vs Texas A&M -7
at Arkansas -12.5
vs Boise St -15.5
vs USC -13.5

So… not too bad.

Current Notre Dame point spreads per @DKSportsbook

at Miami -2.5
vs Texas A&M -7
at Arkansas -12.5
vs Boise St -15.5
vs USC -13.5

SUMMER RECRUITING

With summer official visits, camps, and everything else — Notre Dame is about to be very busy in the college football recruiting world.

Buckle up, Notre Dame fans ‼️

June is about to heat up — Irish Invasion, huge recruiting weekends, and key commitment dates are on the way.

What should you expect this summer? I’ve got you covered ⤵️☘️

A BATTLE BREWNG

Speaking of recruiting… it always gets a little dicey in the summer with those visits. One key member of the 2026 Notre Dame football recruiting class might be going down a path away from South Bend. 4-Star LB Thomas Davis Jr. is making an official visit to see the Georgia Bulldogs where his father played during his college years.

Legacies can be tough… so we’ll have to keep an eye on this one until the end (no matter what is said).
