The price is obviously right
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish didn’t take very long to add a running back to its 2022 recruiting class. 4-Star running back Jadarian Price committed to Notre Dame on Sunday over a long list of programs such as the Texas Longhorns, Auburn Tigers, Baylor Bears, Ohio State Buckeyes, and more. The Dennison, Texas native is the 21st ranked All-Purpose running back in the nation according to 247 Sports.

Price is very much the type of running back that Notre Dame has been recruiting lately (Audric Estime aside) and should fit well into their future schemes.
Adequate height with a surprisingly long, lean frame that, while narrow through the core, should fit more mass in a college strength training program. Owns great length with a plus-5 wingspan relative to height. A bit unique in play style relative to initial impression of build. Wiry strong runner who shows impressive functional strength to consistently run through arm tackles in the hole and at the second level. Aware runner with good instincts and vision in the box. Presses the line of scrimmage and properly sets up blocks tackle-to-tackle. Quick-footed in the hole to make first defender miss. Does a good job of cutting upfield and avoiding unnecessary bounces. Great feel for the cutback. Pairs that with close-quarters agility to sometimes create his own cutback lanes. Long-strider who should have room left to improve long speed. Plants and bursts but can improve top-end speed in the open field. Added juice will foster more big-play punch. Solid production but 6.1 per carry average through first three seasons trails other high-end backs in the class. May carry a lot of usage mileage to college. Caught significantly more passes as a junior to provide a more well-rounded threat than before. Tough-minded runner with impressive instincts and vision who knows when to get upfield when necessary. Projects to the Power Five level as a back who could potentially become an impact starter.
Price is the first running back to commit in Notre Dame’s class of 2022, and is the 7th overall. The class is currently ranked #6 in the 247 Composite Team Rankings and eye-balling an entry into the top 5.
The Irish are positioning themselves pretty well for the future at running back. Even if Kyren Williams and C’Bo Flemister forgo the 2022 season, the Irish are sitting in a good spot with Chris Tyree, Logans Diggs, Audric Estime, and now Jadarian Price. While this could still be a 2 running back class come December, Price fills every need for 2022 and should be the only back that signs with Notre Dame.
I love this kid’s film and saw enough power between the tackles from him to make his electric moves on the outside that much better (he’s not a one-trick pony). Of course… I did see him run out of a wishbone, so he has all of my full house swoon.
FIST PUMPS UP FOR JADARIAN!
