Week 4 of the college football season features a number of marquee matchups, none bigger than Ohio State at Notre Dame.
The sixth-ranked Buckeyes (3-0) haven’t been tested yet this season, while No. 9 Notre Dame (4-0) has had only one semi-tough outing, a 45-24 win over NC State two weeks ago.
There won’t be anything soft about Saturday night, however, when the two Midwestern powerhouses square off at Notre Dame Stadium. The Fighting Irish have lost five straight to Ohio State, all since 1995, including last year’s season opener.
This time around, one of 247Sports’ national college football analysts thinks Notre Dame will be victorious, while the other thinks the Buckeyes leave South Bend with a victory.
Chris Hummer: Ohio State 27, Notre Dame 24
Brad Crawford: Notre Dame 31, Ohio State 24
Kickoff for Notre Dame-Ohio State is set for 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday night on NBC. The winner will likely find themselves moving into the top five on Sunday, with the loser possibly falling out of the top 10.
Elsewhere, we have Iowa-Penn State, Florida State-Clemson, Alabama-Ole Miss, Colorado-Oregon and UCLA-Utah, among other big games.
