As one might expect, the Notre Dame Baseball team has a good number of really smart players — on the field and in the classroom.

Irish Well-Represented on All-ACC Academic Baseball Team
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Notre Dame baseball team had 13 members of the squad earn a spot on the 2025 All-ACC Academic Team.
Graduate students Sammy Cooper, Jackson Dennies, and Brady Gumpf each earned their fifth Academic All-ACC honors of their careers with the Irish. Rory Fox got the nod for the academic distinction for the third time in as many years. They were joined by 2025 teammates Parker Brzustewicz, Connor Hincks, Xavier Hirsch, Davis Johnson, Kellan Klosterman, Tobey McDonough, Estevan Moreno, Carson Tinney, and Chase Van Ameyde as honorees for the year.
More than 220 student-athletes collectively from the 16 ACC baseball programs were honored for the 2025 season.
Student-athletes must have a career 3.0 cumulative grade point average and a 3.0 GPA in their most recent semester to qualify academically for the distinction. Additionally, student-athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of their team’s contests while pitchers must meet a requirement of playing in a minimum of 20 percent of the team’s contests.
