Tucker DeVries, son of new Indiana head men’s basketball coach Darian DeVries, is likely to transfer to Indiana and join his father’s first roster in Bloomington, according to Jeff Goodman of the Field of 68.
Darian DeVries is also expected bring with him his son – Tucker who, when healthy, is one of the better players in the country.
The 22-year-old forward shut it down after 8 games due to an ongoing shoulder issue.

DeVries is widely considered to be among the best players in the country. He won the Missouri Valley Conference’s Player of the Year award twice during his time at Drake and followed his father when the elder DeVries was hired at West Virginia.
He was sidelined for much of this season, playing in only eight games for the Mountaineers due to injury. DeVries averaged 14.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.8 assists across those eight games while shooting 47.3% from long range.
In 2023-24, his final season at Drake, DeVries averaged 21.6 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists and was considered one of the top transfers available in the portal when he entered.
