The Hoosiers add their second backcourt piece of the transfer cycle.
Indiana men’s basketball has picked up a commitment from Sam Houston transfer guard Lamar Wilkerson, according to Joe Tipton:
NEWS: Sam Houston transfer guard Lamar Wilkerson, one of the nation’s top shooters, has committed to Indiana, source tells @On3sports.
The 6-5 senior averaged 20.5 points per game this season, shooting 44.5% from three. https://t.co/w2ZF9eq3MW pic.twitter.com/xwhhIETS9M

Wilkerson averaged 20.5 points, 4 rebounds and 2.1 assists in 34.9 minutes per game while shooting 44.5% from long range for the Bearkats this past season. He spent just about all his time on the floor at the three spot.
His spot there would make things a bit interesting in Bloomington, not in a bad way at all. Tucker DeVries has the versatility to play on the wing but spent most of his time at Drake at the four spot. That spot could be occupied by Reed Bailey, who spent this past year with Davidson at center.
Wilkerson could certainly play at the wing with the Hoosiers, but he has the size and ability to slide over to shooting guard as well. It gives Indiana a level of lineup flexibility.
His shooting numbers should be music to Indiana fans’ ears too. On paper, a great pickup for Darian DeVries and company.
