Indiana has reportedly moved past the likes of Brad Stevens, Dusty May, TJ Otzelberger and Scott Drew.
Indiana men’s basketball is reportedly “moving down its list for its next head coach,” per the Field of 68’s Jeff Goodman on Twitter:
Indiana AD Scott Dolson moving down its list for its next coach, per source.
No Brad Stevens (obviously), no Dusty May, no TJ Otzelberger, no Scott Drew.
As I fully expected.
Now it’s gonna get interesting in Bloomington.

Per Goodman, Indiana has moved past the likes of the Boston Celtics’ Brad Stevens, Michigan’s Dusty May, Iowa State’s TJ Otzelberger and Baylor’s Scott Drew. There’s names to be discussed after these but it seems Indiana has at least heard from a top tier of candidates and received something of a “no,”
Which makes the next steps in the search all the more interesting.
Expect other names to come up in the coming days and weeks. Namely Clemson’s Brad Brownell and Drake’s Ben McCollum. Potentially others like Northwestern’s Chris Collins, McNeese’s Will Wade, Vanderbilt’s Mark Byington and West Virginia’s Darian DeVries.
Indiana still has plenty of time left to go before a coach is hired. There’s still a tournament to play and the next coach will in all likelihood be in it.
