Rick Bozich of WDRB in Louisville reports that Indiana has two top candidates.
Indiana has two top candidates for its soon-to-be vacant men’s basketball coaching position, according to reporting from WDRB’s Rick Bozich: Clemson’s Brad Brownell and Drake’s Ben McCollum.
Brownell is the No. 1 option while McCollum is the No. 2, Bozich reports.

Brownell is in his 15th season as the head coach at Clemson, having led the Tigers to the Elite Eight last season. Last year was also Brownell’s fourth NCAA Tournament appearance with the Tigers during his time in South Carolina.
His previous head coaching experience includes Wright State and UNC Wilmington. He’s been a Division-I head coach since 2003, his first with the latter program. Brownell is originally from Evansville, Indiana, and played college basketball in the state at DePauw.
McCollum is in his first year as a head coach at the Divison-I level with Drake after having spent a long and successful career in the Division-II ranks at Northwest Missouri State. He was linked to the job in reporting from Jeff Goodman on Thursday.
His Bulldogs are 30-3 on the season and have earned an NCAA Tournament berth after a win in the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament.
