Report: 5-Star Quarterback Julian Lewis Schedules Surprise Visit

Carrollton (Ga.) five-star quarterback Julian Lewis, one of the top overall recruits in the 2025 class, has been committed to USC since last August.

However, Lewis is still entertaining other programs, even going as far as to schedule upcoming official visits. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound star’s latest reported visit is a bit of a surprising one.

According to 247Sports’ Tom Loy, Lewis will officially visit Indiana on May 31. The Hoosiers join USC (June 7), Auburn (June 14), and Colorado (June 21) as programs that will host Lewis in the coming weeks.

“Lewis has a longtime relationship with Indiana quarterbacks coach Tino Sunseri, has had great conversations with head coach Curt Cignetti, and his interest in the Hoosiers is strong enough to check them out in person before making a final decision,” Loy wrote.

Indiana being Lewis’ first official visit probably doesn’t bode well for the Hoosiers’ chances against the schools he’ll visit later on, but the fact the No. 2 quarterback in his class is visiting Bloomington in general is a major boost for the IU program.

Lewis won MaxPreps National Sophomore of the Year in 2023 after capturing the outlet’s award for the top freshman in the country the year prior. As a sophomore, he completed 66.4% of his passes, throwing for 3,094 yards, 48 touchdowns and only two interceptions.

Lewis helped Carrollton reach the Georgia AAAAAAA quarterfinal round after leading the program to a state championship appearance as a freshman.
