Darian DeVries already has eyes set on Indiana’s future.
Indiana is reportedly set to get a visit from Sammy Jackson, a 4-star small forward in the class of 2026, per Dushawn London of 247Sports:
Recruiting News: Sammy Jackson, a four-star prospect in the class of 2026, has scheduled visits to Indiana and Texas.
Dates:
Indiana: June 13-14th
Texas: June 16-17th https://t.co/UtOh6zVjZe pic.twitter.com/hX3TT38dGE— Dushawn London (@DushawnLondon1) May 9, 2025
Jackson, out of Roman Catholic High School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is the 94th highest-rated prospect, 35th highest-rated small forward and top overall player in the state of Pennsylvania in the class of 2026, per the 247Sports Composite.
His other offers include Texas, Arizona State, Auburn, Penn State and Vanderbilt. His visit is set for June 13, per 247Sports’ website.
Offering Jackson and pursuing him to the point of landing a visit reinforces an emerging trend under DeVries: prioritization of wings. Indiana has plenty of players with either experience or the ability to play small forward on the current roster in Tucker DeVries, Jasai Miles, Lamar Wilkerson and others.
Given Indiana’s overall issues at that spot for, well, the past eight or so years, it’s interesting to see the sudden attention DeVries has given it.
