Indiana men’s basketball is set for its first foreign tour (asterisk, kinda) in four years. The Hoosiers will spend August 5-12th in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and are set to play three exhibition games.
But fans hoping for an early look at next season’s team are going to be disappointed. Those games won’t be streamed, per the program. So unless you had the good fortune of paying for one of the fan packages made available, you’re out of luck.
They may not be viewable, but they’re gonna happen nonetheless. Indiana is set to take on a Puerto Rican All-Star team on Wednesday, August 6th at Roberto Clemente Coliseum. After that, the Hoosiers will take on Serbian professional club Mega Superbet on Saturday, August 9th with a rematch on Monday, August 11th.
If that name sounds familiar, it’s because it’s the club that produced 3-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokic. Basketbal runs extremely deep in Belgrade, where Mega is based, so it’ll be a real challenge for Indiana.
