Look: College Football Student Section Rips Out A Bleacher

A row of students attending the Indiana-Cincinnati game on Saturday got a little too excited during the action.

Fans sitting in the Indiana student section ripped out an entire bleacher. No, we’re not kidding.

The students ripped out an entire bleacher and hoisted it above their heads. We’re not sure why. Perhaps they were just trying to inspire the Hoosiers.

Take a look.

Wow. The fans’ raucous behavior might actually be working, too.

Indiana jumped out to a 14-0 lead over No. 8 Cincinnati in the first half of Saturday’s game. The Hoosiers dominated the Bearcats in the trenches and it showed on the scoreboard.

Indiana got on the scoreboard midway through the first quarter when quarterback Michael Penix Jr. found tight end Peyton Hendershot on a play-action boot. The Hoosiers then added to their lead when Penix found running back Stephen Carr for a wide-open score in the end-zone in the second quarter.

The Bearcats responded late in the first half. It was tough sledding, but Cincinnati found some success on the ground and Desmond Ridder made a few big plays through the air. Jerome Ford capped the drive with a short rushing score to make it a 14-7 game late in the first half.

The Hoosiers are going to need their fans to stay engaged to pull of the major upset on Saturday. Cincinnati isn’t going to back away.
