Kentucky and Indiana have reportedly locked down locations to reignite their men’s college basketball rivalry.
According to College Hoops Today’s Jon Rothstein, the programs have agreed to sites for four annual matchups, starting with the 2025-26 season. Each game will be played in December.
Kentucky’s Rupp Arena will host the first encounter and the third in 2027-28. They’ll play at Lucas Oil Stadium in 2026-27 and Indiana’s Assembly Hall in 2028-29.

The Wildcats and Hoosiers used to play annually, but their last regular-season encounter occurred when Christian Watford hit a game-winning three to give Indiana a 73-72 win over a top-ranked Kentucky team led by Anthony Davis in 2011.
They last met during the 2016 NCAA tournament. Indiana knocked Kentucky out of the second round with a 73-67 victory at Iowa’s Wells Fargo Arena.
Last year, Kentucky head coach John Calipari announced that the two schools “agreed in principle” to start a new series. Location has long been a sticking point in bringing the two programs back together.
In 2012, Kentucky rejected a proposed four-game series with one game at Rupp Arena, one game at Assembly Hall, and two at Lucas Oil Stadium.
According to Rothstein, an official announcement of these games is expected soon.
