The Hoosiers are set to take on the Gamecocks in the second round of NCAA Tournament play.
9-seed Indiana women’s basketball is set to take on 1-seed South Carolina in the second round of NCAA Tournament play on Sunday at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina. The Hoosiers advanced after a 76-68 victory over 8-seed Utah in the first round on Friday.
With the Gamecocks playing host to the first and second rounds as a top-16 seed, it’ll be an uphill battle with a road environment at one of the most daunting arenas in all of college basketball.
The game itself also doubles as a rematch of last season’s Sweet Sixteen matchup between Indiana and South Carolina that saw the Gamecocks narrowly come out on top after a furious second half comeback effort from the Hoosiers. South Carolina went on to win the title over Caitlin Clark and Iowa.
