Here’s everything you need to know about the Hoosiers’ Week 3 matchup

Indiana (1-1) will host No. 8 Cincinnati (2-0) in Week 3 in the second of the Hoosiers’ three non-conference games this season. Here’s everything you need to know about the game.

Kickoff time, TV channel, how to watch

Kickoff is scheduled for 12 p.m. ET on Saturday, Sept. 18 at Memorial Stadium. The game will air on ESPN.

Spread, point total

As of Tuesday, Cincinnati enters Saturday’s matchup as a 3.5-point favorite, according to DraftKings, with the moneyline at +150 for the Hoosiers, meaning you have to successfully bet $100 in order to win $150. The point total is 50.5 points.

In Cincinnati’s first two games against Miami (OH) and Murray State, the combined point totals were 63 and 49, respectively, while Indiana’s first two games resulted in point totals of 40 and 70.

Series history

Indiana holds a 9-3 all-time advantage in the series and the Hoosiers currently have a five-game winning streak over the Bearcats, although the two schools haven’t played on the gridiron since 2000. Indiana won 42-6 on Sept. 23, 2000 at Memorial Stadium.

Cincinnati’s last win against Indiana came in 1957, when the Bearcats shut out the Hoosiers 21-0.

The schools’ current home-and-home series was announced in July 2014, when Cincinnati was entering the second season of Tommy Tuberville’s tenure, following a 9-4 debut in the Bearcats’ first season in the American, and when Kevin Wilson was entering his fourth season in Bloomington, following a 5-7 campaign in 2013.

The former is now a U.S. Senator and the latter is now on Ohio State’s staff, and their respective replacements, Luck Fickell and Tom Allen, have since led their programs to consecutive bowl berths and a preseason top-25 ranking in the AP poll.

However, only Cincinnati enters Saturday with a number in front of its name, which gives Indiana the opportunity to beat a top-10 opponent at home for the second season in a row and a victory Saturday would mark Indiana’s biggest non-conference win since the Hoosiers knocked off No. 18 Missouri on the road in 2014 to win* the SEC East.
