Indiana fans are optimistic about the future of the men’s basketball program under Darian DeVries.
We ran a poll last week (courtesy of our friends at big SB Nation) asking Indiana fans a simple question: How do they feel about the Darian DeVries hire for the men’s basketball program?
Coming off of a disappointing two-season stretch culminating in another missed tournament, the fanbase could use any optimism it could get. It looks like the DeVries hire has provided some at the very least:

Respondents were pretty overwhelmingly in favor of the hire with a plurality indicating they feel great about the hire.
DeVries probably won the press conference too with notes on shooting, specifics of his practice regimens and a note on the importance of roster construction with the pieces making sense and fitting together on the court.
Fans will get more information this week with the transfer portal officially set to open on Monday. The Hoosiers have been predicted to land West Virginia’s Tucker DeVries (per Joe Tipton of On3) and DePaul’s Conor Enright (per WeAreDePaul’s Steve Newhouse).
