Rourke transferred into the program last offseason after spending the previous five seasons at Ohio and provided an experienced hand at quarterback for Curt Cignetti’s first year in Bloomington.
He finished the 2024 season with 3,042 passing yards, 29 touchdowns and 5 interceptions, completing 69.4% of his passes. He owns the Indiana single season records for completion percentage and touchdown passes despite missing a portion of the game against Nebraska and the ensuing matchup against Washington.
Rourke was among the very best quarterbacks in the country last season, being instrumental in Indiana’s historic run to the College Football Playoff. His selection is another feather in Curt Cignetti’s cap as a quarterback whisperer. He should be an excellent fit in Kyle Shanahan’s system should he see the field.
