The schedule is taking shape.
Indiana men’s basketball added another marquee opponent for its non-conference slate this upcoming season, announcing a matchup with Louisville in Gainbridge Fieldhouse this December, per Jeff Goodman:
Louisville will play Indiana on Dec. 6 at Gainbridge Arena in Indianapolis, source told @TheFieldOf68.
Love this non-conference matchup between Pat Kelsey and the Cardinals and new IU coach Darian DeVries and the Hoosiers.
Should be a terrific atmosphere.

Indiana now has games with Kentucky, Marquette, and Louisville on the schedule for 2025-26.
The Hoosiers saw Pat Kelsey’s new-look Cardinals this past season, getting blown out in the Battle 4 Atlantis by a Louisville team that had yet to put itself on the national radar. In Kelsey’s first season, Louisville went 27-8 and made the NCAA Tournament as an eight seed.
Last year, Indiana had just one standalone non-conference game, when South Carolina came to Assembly Hall in November. Indiana’s only other notable non-conference opponents – Louisville and Gonzaga – came in the Battle 4 Atlantis, in which Indiana went 2-1.
Now that Kelsey has established himself and Louisville as a serious basketball program again, this will be an early opportunity for Darian DeVries to get a quality win in his first season at Indiana.
