Who could new coach Darian DeVries target in the transfer portal?
With Indiana’s hiring of Darian DeVries as the program’s newest head men’s basketball coach now official, it’s time to take a peek at what his first roster in Bloomington could end up looking like.
With the transfer portal set to officially open next Monday, DeVries will have plenty of time to evaluate the current roster and make any necessary decisions as far as retention. He’ll also be prepared to tackle the portal head-on when it opens.
Here’s a few of the names Indiana could target:

Backcourt
Tucker DeVries – Guard, West Virginia
- The reasons here are obvious and the younger DeVries is expected to join his father in Bloomington.
Pryce Sandfort – Guard, Iowa
- Sandfort announced his intentions to enter the portal after Iowa parted ways with Fran McCaffery. He’ll be keeping an eye on the potential hire with the Hawkeyes, but is listed here regardless.
