Hill stars for Pike High School in Indianapolis.
With the transfer portal in the rearview mirror and focus turning to high school recruiting and summer practice, Darian DeVries is already building in-state ties.
Isaiah Hill, a 3-star center out of Pike High School in Indianapolis, Indiana, received a scholarship offer from the program, per reporting from Jeff Rabjohns of Peegs/247Sports:
Nationally ranked 2027 center Isaiah Hill (@certified_hill3) — who is having a fantastic spring — of @PHSBBBall and @indyheatgymrats received an Indiana scholarship offer from IU coach Darian DeVries today after playing in the IU team camp. #iubbhttps://t.co/tUo1xwjdZZ

As Rabjohns notes, the offer came after Hill’s participation in Indiana’s team camp. The full staff was in attendance, per the Daily Hoosier:
Stopped by the IU team camp. Full #iubb staff is here watching Pike vs. East Peoria. 2027 Pike big man Isaiah Hill is a major prospect. pic.twitter.com/0j8VJzufYU

An in-state 3-star center with strong rim protection who can grow into a 7-footer is about as much of a no-brainer scholarship offer as it gets. His recruitment is gaining momentum with other offers including Georgetown, Purdue and Syracuse.
It’s obviously early, but 247Sports has Hill as the 74th highest-rated overall prospect and 6th highest-rated center in the class of 2027. His development is going to be worth watching, especially since he’s around an hour’s drive away from Bloomington.
