Johnson currently attends Blue Springs High School in Blue Springs, Missouri. His other offers, per 247Sports, include Missouri, Mississippi, Arkansas, Iowa, Kentucky, Oregon, Purdue and Texas A&M.

Johnson is a substantial addition to a class that was already looking impressive and landing him now, ahead of the 2025 season, is a boost for the program. Indiana has prioritized the defensive line under Curt Cignetti and position coaches Pat Kuntz and Buddha Williams
This class is proving to be a foundational one for the defensive line, with the program landing commitments from five defensive linemen and two edge rushers.
