The Hoosiers dip into the Center Grove pool again, after Curt Cignetti managed to land a pledge from quarterback Tyler Cherry last offseason in his first weeks as head coach.

Per the 247Sports composite, Scifres is the 1432nd highest-rated prospect in the country, the 125th highest-rated inside offensive lineman and 21st highest-rated prospect in the state of Indiana. Per 247Sports, he held an offer from Toledo and had recruiting interest from Iowa and Duke. The site also notes that he was recruited by both offensive line coach Bob Bostad and defensive line coach Pat Kuntz, with the latter’s ties around the state likely coming into play.

Cignetti has maintained the importance of landing in-state prospects as . Scifres is the fourth in-state player to commit to the program in the 2026 cycle, joining DL Blake Smythe, LB Trevor Gibbs, and CB Kasmir Hicks.
