Dues joins a growing class of 2026 in Bloomington.
Indiana football landed a commitment from LaRon Dues, a 3-star athlete/defensive back in the class of 2026 out of Cardinal Mooney High School in Sarasota, Florida, on June 17th:

Dues is the second prospect from the Sarasota area to commit to the program in the class of 2026, joining Booker High School’s Kevontay Hugan. Dues took an official visit to Bloomington on June 13th, announcing his commitment four days later.
His other offers include West Virginia, Arizona, Kentucky, Oregon and Wake Forest. 247Sports classifies him as a cornerback, though he’s currently unrated on the site.
At 5-9, Dues doesn’t have the typical size for a cornerback, but that hasn’t stopped D’Angelo Ponds from turning into a star at the position. He has some versatility, but it’s worth noting that he was recruited by Ola Adams, Indiana’s defensive backs coach, also per 247Sports.
