The program has a new prop for recruiting photoshoots.
The summer months are always a huge stretch in the college football recruiting calendar. Indiana football, coming off of arguably the best season in program history, is striking while the iron is hot in building its 2026 class.
That means a lot, like A Lot, of everyone’s favorite part of the recruiting process: photoshoots.
Every program does them and every one tries to put a unique spin on it with a local flair. The creative side of Indiana’s recruiting apparatus under Curt Cignetti has leaned into the culture of the state. Additionally, elements of the program’s past such as artwork and branding have appeared in plenty of photoshoots up to this point.
Last year featured a new addition as a photoshoot: an Indycar. The only thing being that said Indycar only had series branding:

That appears to have changed for this recruiting class.
Whether it’s a brand new car or the old one painted over, there’s a new IndyCar prop in use featuring Indiana’s branding, program motto and even the College Football Playoff logo:

It’s appeared in plenty of recent recruiting shoots in the wake of the 109th running of the Indianapolis 500 in May.
It could end up being a mutually beneficial relationship. Chip Ganassi Racing’s Alex Palou won this past month after members of Indiana’s roster paid a visit to the team’s facilities in the leadup to raceday:
