The Hoosiers got their quarterback
Indiana secured a commitment from 3-star quarterback prospect Cash Herrera, who committed to Iowa last fall before reopening his recruitment. Herrera announced his decision via Twitter:

Per 247Sports Herrera is the no. 31 quarterback in the class of 2026, holding offers from other Big Ten teams like Minnesota and UCLA, among others.
Greg Biggins of 247Sports described him as a “late-bloomer,” suggesting this could be an even better get for Curt Cignetti and Chandler Whitmer than looks like right now. While Biggins noted his natural arm talent, he also praised Herrera’s athleticism in and out of the pocket.
With Herrera on board, Cignetti and company now have 19 high school players signed on from the class of 2026. Herrera became the first high school quarterback to commit to the Hoosiers since Indiana hired Whitmer as its quarterbacks coach this spring.
