Homefield Apparel is set to open a retail store, the first of its kind for the brand, at Tracks on Kirkwood Avenue in Bloomington.

Homefield was co-founded by IU alumnus Connor Hitchcock and his wife Christa. The brand’s originates from the ending of the 2015 Pinstripe Bowl, which saw Indiana kicker Griffin Oakes’ game-tying field goal attempt sail just over the right upright.

You know the story. Ruled a miss. No review.

Hitchcock, then an IU senior studying marketing, put together a quick t-shirt design for Hoosier fans to vent their frustration. The shirt was made available through Hoosier Proud, a previous apparel company founded by the Hitchcocks.

Now, in 2025, Homefield is one of the most recognized brands in collegiate apparel. You’d be hard pressed to not see any Homefield-designed shirts, hoodies, jackets, hats and other apparel in crowd shots on college football and basketball broadcasts.

Of course, Homefield has a strong lineup of Hoosier gear available to fans. Now, with a retail location set to open next month, it’ll be even more available.
