Indiana landed a commitment from four-star forward Vaughn Karvala, he announced on Saturday. Karvala is a 6-foot-6 forward from Bella Vista Prep (AZ) and chose the Hoosiers over California and Xavier.
Karvala spent the summer with Team Herro on the Nike EYBL circuit, averaging 14.7 points and 4.3 rebounds per game for the program this summer.
He is a projectable shooter and has a high-upside skillset. Karvala still has an unpolished offensive repertoire, and has worked on improving his passing and playmaking abilities.
“I’m a shooter, and I’m also athletic,” Karvala told ZAGSBLOG in May. “I’m able to drive and get to my pull-up if I need to. Kind of like a Kevin Durant build. Just got to develop the pull-up a little more and being a better ball handler.”
He is Indiana’s second commit in the class of 2026, joining Prince-Alexander Moody in the class thus far.
Karvala is a four-star recruit and ranked as the No. 47 overall prospect in the class of 2026, according to 247Sports.
