Alexis averaged 4.7 points, 3.5 rebounds and 0.4 assists while shooting 20% from long range in 11.9 minutes per game for Florida. He has a single season of eligibility remaining.
Given his overall profile, it’s pretty obvious that this is a depth addition for the program. He provided necessary minutes off the bench for one of men’s college basketball’s best teams this past regular season, but was solidly out of the rotation during Florida’s run through the NCAA Tournament.
Indiana needs depth. The program has 2-3 frontcourt pieces at the moment in Reed Bailey and Trent Sisley, with the third depending on where the staff plans on playing Tucker DeVries. Alexis more than clearly provides that on top of seeing what it means to be the type of team that wins at the highest level.
