Liam McNeeley, the five-star forward from Montverde (FL) Academy, is headed to Indiana.

The 6-foot-7 forward from Richardson, Texas chose Indiana over Kansas. He is the No. 1-ranked power forward in the Class of 2024 per 247Sports.com,

“I will be committing to Indiana University. Go Hoosiers,” he said on ESPN with Paul Biancardi.

He added: “Coach [Mike] Woodson has been recruiting me for a really long time. I mean, their interest in me has never wavered, they’ve been the most consistent recruiting me and I just feel really comfortable with them.”

Montverde coach Kevin Boyle has coached a slew of future pros, including No. 1 Draft picks Kyrie Irving, Ben Simmons and Cade Cunningham.

“We’re very excited for Liam,” Boyle told ZAGSBLOG. “I think he made an excellent decision. He is one of the Nation’s premier shooters and an excellent rebounder for his position.

“He will be a great addition to Indiana and has an excellent chance to play in the NBA.”

McNeeley is Indiana’s first 2024 commit. The Hoosiers remain in the mix for his Montverde teammates Derik Queen and Asa Newell as well as Archbishop Stepinac (N.Y.) point guard, Boogie Fland, among others.
