The backcourt grows.
Indiana men’s basketball made another addition to its backcourt today with the commitment of Jason Drake, a junior guard from Drexel.
NEWS: Drexel transfer guard Jason Drake has committed to Indiana, he tells @On3sports.
The 6-2 junior averaged 11.1 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 3.1 assists per game, while shooting nearly 40% from three. https://t.co/eINl3u9emI pic.twitter.com/cou9LP9TXq

Drake started all 33 games he appeared in last season with Drexel, averaging 11.1 points and 3.1 assists per game. He shot 39.6% from 3-point range on 3.1 attempts per contest.
Drake spent one season with Drexel after a year at Cleveland State and one year at Butler Community College before that. He has two seasons of college eligibility remaining.
247 Sports lists Drake as a combo guard, in part because of his shooting ability, but he played all of his minutes last year at Drexel as a point guard. As the highest-usage player in the Dragon’s offense, he posted a 23.5% assist rate.
With his shooting and driving ability, Drake should compete for minutes at both the one and two spots for Indiana. He brings more of a scoring touch than Conor Enright as a point guard, but also has the perimeter shooting to step in for Lamar Wilkerson off the bench.
