Enright previously played for Darian DeVries at Drake.
With Darian DeVries officially being hired as Indiana’s head men’s basketball coach this week, he’s going to have to get to work relatively quickly on building his first roster. Much of that will come through the transfer portal.
Indiana is already expected to land a commitment from Tucker DeVries, son of Darian and a current wing at West Virginia.
Aside from that DeVries will go through the current roster and ultimately decide whether it would be best if its members would fit on his first team in Bloomington or if it would be best for all parties for them to seek other opportunities.
One way or another, DeVries is going to be looking in the portal. There’s already a few entries of interest to the program, including DePaul guard Conor Enright.
Enright just finished his first year with the Blue Demons, having joined Chris Holtmann’s program rebuild project in Chicago. Prior to his time with DePaul, Enright played his first two years of eligibility at Drake under DeVries.
He averaged 7.5 points, 3.3 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game this past season while shooting 32.5% from deep. Those numbers are a boost from his sophomore year stats with the Bulldogs, although he shot 43.9% from long range in 2023-24.
Could Enright be one to watch for Indiana this portal season?
