WWE 2K25 to include Tyrese Haliburton as a playable character

May 21, 2025 by Hoops Hype

Two-time NBA All Star Tyrese Haliburton is making the move from the basketball court to the professional wrestling ring. Well, sort of. During WWE Monday Night Raw on Netflix, the Indiana Pacers’ guard joined announcers Michael Cole and Pat McAfee to announce he’ll be a part of WWE 2K25.

More on this storyline

“I’m really excited,” Haliburton said. “Obviously, I got the opportunity to come and be in the garden and experience that and get the ring a little bit. So I’m excited about being a playable character in the game and yeah, it’s going to be, it’s going to be super cool. So I appreciate the opportunity and I’m looking forward to it.” -via WBRC / May 20, 2025
Tyrese Haliburton has not been a good on-ball defender throughout his career. The Cavs came into their second round series with the idea that they could do to him what they did to Herro. Haliburton saw a 19 percent increase in the amount of times he was targeted by the Cavs, which was the second-largest playoff increase among guards behind Herro. Unlike Herro, he was able to shed his pigeon label. He stayed in front of the ball for the most part, and the Pacers’ much-improved defense helped them beat a heavily-favored Cavs team. -via Sporting News / May 19, 2025
