Tyrese Haliburton on his father, Giannis Antetokounmpo confrontation: I don't think my pops was right, he needs to just allow me to play basketball

April 29, 2025 by Hoops Hype

Tyler Smith: Haliburton- “After we won, I kind of blacked out a little. As far as the incident between Giannis and my pops, I had no idea it happened until I got to the back. I talked to my pops after, and I don’t agree with what transpired there from him. He needs to just allow me to play basketball. I’ll talk with Giannis about it. I don’t think my pops was right.”

Indiana Pacers pull off an incredible 119-118 comeback OT win over Milwaukee Bucks to close 1st round series.

The Bucks and Giannis’ offseason now begins after that wild finish in Indy.
Meanwhile, last night’s historically bad season-ending loss in Miami served as a reminder of just how far the Heat is from being a title contender. “We were humbled” miamiherald.com/sports/nba/mia… – 9:02 PM

A lot of emotions pouring postgame. Giannis and Mathurin got into it. Then Kevin Porter Jr. was losing it. Lloyd Pierce made sure Mathurin just went to the locker room and avoided any trouble. – 9:02 PM

If THAT is how i just watched Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Bucks career end I demand to speak to a manager. – 9:01 PM

Fantastic playoffs by Giannis AND Gary Trent Jr.

Gerald Bourguet @GeraldBourguet
Well that’s a heartbreaking potential end to the Giannis Antetokounmpo era in Milwaukee. What a collapse – 8:58 PM

Genuinely the worst taste you could’ve left in Giannis’ mouth going into an offseason in which teams are preying on him requesting a trade. – 8:58 PM

Is this how it ends for Giannis in Milwaukee? – 8:57 PM
Sam Quinn @SamQuinnCBS
Man, I just feel so sick for Bucks fans right now.
They weren’t winning the series. I think we all knew that. But they were seconds away from at least getting one last Giannis home game, one last chance to say goodbye before the inevitable trade derby.
Instead… they get THAT. – 8:57 PM
