Thunder-Pacers Best Prop Bets For Game 5 of the NBA Finals

June 17, 2025 by Last Word On Pro Basketball

The Oklahoma City Thunder surmounted a big comeback against the Indiana Pacers in Game 4, tying this series. Now, it is the first team to two wins, and both teams realize this. Can the Thunder cap off one of the shortest rebuilds in recent history with a championship, or will Tyrese Haliburton and the Pacers complete their improbable run? We know some of the lines for Game 5 and which ones have the best value. Here are the best prop bets for Game 5 of the NBA Finals.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander: Over 1.5 Three Pointers (-120)

If the Thunder want to win the NBA Finals, they need Shai Gilgeous-Alexander to get going before the second half. In Game 4, Shai only had four points in the first quarter. He did finish with 35 points thanks to a monstrous fourth quarter, but the Thunder need to find a way for him to get hot early in the game.

It may be time to start running more off-ball screens and plays for the MVP, allowing him to get to his spots on the court. His step-back three-pointer has become deadly and could be utilized more in Game 5. The bottom line is that Shai needs to score early and often, and he cannot do that without taking more three-pointers. This is what makes this line a best bet for Game 5.

Pascal Siakam: Under 10.5 Assists + Rebounds (-125)

Pascal Siakam, at times, has looked like the best player for the Pacers. With that being said, it does not mean he is the best rebounder or facilitator for this Indiana squad. His size can get him four or five rebounds a game. He has the IQ to make the right read and get three to four assists a game. He is not the one initiating the offense, though, or crashing the boards on every shot. Instead, he is the player getting open looks thanks to Myles Turner setting screens and Haliburton making the right reads.

The Pacers will surely rely on Siakam’s scoring ability in Game 5 and not have him worry so much about passing or going in for second-chance buckets. His line for points could hit, but do not expect Siakam to finish the game with many rebounds or assists. The scoring display he needs to put on is why this is a best bet for Game 5.

Chet Holmgren: Under 15.5 Points (-110)

Chet Holmgren injured his ankle early in Game 4 of the NBA Finals. It seemed it was just a rolled ankle, but it could be worse. Players often play through injuries in the playoffs, and they do not reveal major details about injuries. This could be the same case for Holmgren heading into Game 5.

Holmgren suffered a major hip injury early into his second season, and he has just gotten back into top form from that injury. Now, with a potential injury to his ankle, there are questions surrounding what he can do offensively. He is averaging 13.8 points in the Finals and finished with 14 in Game 4. All these factors make the under for his points a best bet for Game 5. Could Holmgren defy the odds like he has done before, though? Possibly, but that seems very unlikely.
