Report: Police Are Investigating Patrick Beverley Incident

The NBA is still investigating the incident of Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley throwing a basketball into the stands and hitting a fan in Game 6 of the Bucks-Pacers series, but Beverley might have a more serious investigation to worry about now.

According to NBA insider Shams Charania, Indianapolis Police are currently investigating the incident as well. Per the report, detectives are working with Gainbridge Fieldhouse to review footage of the incident and intend to speak to the parties involved.

“Indianapolis Police is investigating the incident between Patrick Beverley and a fan during Game 6 of Bucks-Pacers series; detectives confirm to me and @MikeVorkunov they are working with Gainbridge Fieldhouse to review video footage and plan to speak with the parties involved,” Charania wrote.

Beverley was heavily criticized for throwing the ball into the stands and hitting an unsuspecting fan in the head and then throwing it a second time. There is some speculation that the NBA will hand down a massive punishment to Beverley for his actions there.

Some fans are objecting to this investigation, asserting that police are overreacting to the situation.

Whether the police should be investigating or not, the fact that they are is not a good look for the Bucks or the NBA as a whole.

It wouldn’t be surprising at all if Beverley has played his final game for the Bucks, but the NBA could make it so Beverley barely sees the court for anyone next season.

Will Beverley be brough up on any charges for this incident?
