The Pacers hit the road to play the Celtics for the third time this season.
The teams have split two back-to-back meetings at the Fieldhouse earlier in the season and always seem to find a way to entertain when they matchup. Both teams have been struggling of late, so the inspiration, if not desperation, to win should be shared by both sides.
The Pacers continue grinding through the season short handed, while the C’s are also still missing Marcus Smart and the dynamic impact he can have on a game. Boston’s dynamic length can always cause problems with All-Stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown
The C’s recent struggles (3 L’s in a row and 3-7 over their last 10 games) has local legend Brad Stevens drawing plenty of concern around New England. It appears Indiana Hoosier fans are delighted with Stevens’ struggles, hoping the former Butler coach may eventually return to the college game in Bloomington to rescue the Hoosiers from their latest struggles under Archie Miller.
So, the Pacers should have some additional casual fans firing up for this one on behalf of their beloved Hoosiers.
